I've begun blocking out some of the animations for the project including the idle, walk and secondary idle cycles.

The below walk cycle took about 3 hours in which I created up, down, contact and passing poses. A lot of work needed to make it look any decent but its a good base to start from. The idle took me about an hour.

I've decided to lower the creatures head to give it a slightly more reptilian, aggressive stature when compared to a lions. Another thing I want to differ with to make the creature look more reptilian is the tail - a lions tail hangs down but I feel that, due to its low head, the creature might look strange with a hanging tail and should instead have it higher and stiffer.

Above is me using the Maya bookmark feature to try and keep my timeline easily readable for when I start to move keys about for follow through / timing adjustments.

The above idle secondary took me about 3 hours.
